Adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood (Japanese title: 百エーカーの森の冒険) is an anime series featuring Winnie the Pooh characters. To celebrate it's first anniversary, the anime got an English dub exclusive to Disney+.
Genre[]
The anime follows a slice-of-life style in which the viewers could watch from any episode without having to worry about the plot. Sometimes, more serious problems are discussed, but the show manages to keep a light-hearted tone throughout.
Episodes[]
Some episodes were cut from the Disney+ dub due to being darker in tone than others. However, later on, the cut episodes got dubbed in a DVD collection of the episodes.

Season 2 coming soon!
The episodes cut are "Pooh's Dream Land" due to some of the imagery in Pooh's dreams (it would be impossible to cut this as this imagery is vital to the plot) and "Cloudy Morning" for Tigger's nervous breakdown near the end of the episode (it would also be impossible to cut this as this is also vital to the plot).
However, in the DVD release of Season 1 (which included dubbed versions of "Pooh's Dream Land" and "Cloudy Morning") the imagery in Pooh's dreams was toned down and Tigger's nervous breakdown was shortened.
Cast[]
The characters have the same voice actors they had in previous Pooh media.
Reviews[]
Adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood was praised by Japanese viewers for it's "warm" feel, and many demands for a Season 2 have been made. Meanwhile, for the English dub, Adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood was originally disliked by fans for cutting some of the darker tones in the original show. However, after the DVD release, Adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood was praised more for dubbing the previously-Japanese exclusive episodes (which is not usually done).
Trivia[]
- The show also recieved a manga adaptation that has yet to be translated. Something to note about the manga adaptation is that the artstyle is vastly different from the anime itself.
- A running gag in the show is that Tigger tends to crossdress when explaining / telling a story. This is one of the reason Disney did not create the English dub of the show until 1 year after it's release.
- The pilot reuses the plot of the book "Oh Bother! No One's Listening", in which Rabbit tells everyone what to bring to a picnic, but gets annoyed when no one listens to him.
