For a whole year, Bagi has survived in the Americas by drinking fresh water and eating other animals. Although she has never harmed other feline animals. On night in Mexico, Bagi stalks and eats a farmer's flock of sheep.

In December of 1985, Ryo heads to the Americas and is preparing for a hunting trip when the farmer calls on him to put down Bagi. Arkady Ivankov tries to kill Bagi in the Uxmal Ruins. Ryo and Bagi barely survive the fight as the lieutenant falls to his death. Ryo vows to restore Bagi's human traits and talking ability.

In Mexico City, Sgt. Anatoly Cutuzov is briefed on the situation by his superiors including a Russian military general named Vadim Toptunov, one of Russia's most proven battlemasters. Cutuzov, like Ivankov, is among the quintet of special KGB agents called the Winds of Kosovo. He thinks back to his team's briefing on the situation. With a motorcycle team of troopers, Cutuzov ambushes Bagi and Ryo on the plains of Campeche and uses electric tonfas to give the duo a somewhat fierce fight, but even so, Bagi and Ryo kill the strong KGB agent.

Col. Aleksandr Fomin, the leader of the Winds of Kosovo is informed by his client, a recall election candidate named Georg Rot (Duke Red) of the bounty of 2 million dollars (121,250,000 rubles).

He then fights General Toptunov's forces by himself as the situation is getting worse for him. Fatigued, Ryo runs out of ammunition and cries for Bagi to come back to life and the half-puma half-human he wanted to be family with. Mercenary Skunk arrives with a grenade without its pin and Ryo too distraught to fight back any longer gives a tear-stained farewell to Bagi before the grenade goes off...

When Ryo opens his eyes seconds later, he is outside the cave. Bagi has her human traits restored and forgives Ryo speaking for the first time in six years. After staving off the airstrike, Ryo and Bagi vow to make it back to Japan and end the cruel gene experiments on animals.
