Balala the Fairies: Fengshui Victory (Chinese: 巴啦啦小魔仙之风水胜利; pinyin: Bālālā xiǎo mó xiān zhī fēngshuǐ shènglì) is a Chinese-Japanese magical girl children's anime series created by Alpha Group and Toei Animation. It tells the story of Princess Rosalie Han and her friends Marina, Giselle, Chloe, Skye and Amaya as they are granted magical powers and talents by the five Fuwa (Beibei (Marina’s bonded partner), Jingjing (Chloe’s bonded partner), Huanhuan (Rosalie’s bonded partner), Yingying (Giselle’s bonded partner), and Nini (Skye’s bonded partner) (the 2008 Beijing Olympic mascots) and Fu Niu Lele (Amaya’s bonded partner and the 2008 Beijing Paralympic mascot) and transform into the legendary warriors known as the "Fairies of Balala" to fight against Queen Demona and unknown evil forces. Their strength will be contested many times until they find out. They will also gain more new items, stuff and abilities to fight evil, as the enemies get stronger from time to time. They use their magic powers to save the world, the Olympic Games and Rosalie’s kingdom. It is also known in Japan as Balala the Fairies: The Victory of Fengshui (バララ・ザ・フェアリー:風水の勝利, Barara Za Fearī: Fūsui No Shōri) and in South Korea as Balala Fairies: Fengshui Victory (바랄라 페어리즈: 풍수 승리, balalla peeolijeu: pungsu seungli)
Plot[]
The Demon Queen Demona attacks the Fengshui Kingdom and turns both the Queen of Fengshui and the King of Fengshui into stone and imprisons Fengshui’s residents, Princess Rosalie of Fengshui, along with Beibei, Jingjing, Huanhuan, Yingying and Nini (the five Fuwa) and Fu Niu Lele escape Demona, only for Rosalie and the Fuwa and Fu Niu Lele to warp to Beijing, China on Earth, where Rosalie’s human best friend Marina and her grandmother rescue them. Rosalie must restore her kingdom, protect the Olympic Games, restore her parents back to normal and fight Demona alongside Marina, Giselle, Chloe, Skye and Amaya who also become Balala Fairies.

The Fairies[]
- Princess Rosalie Han/Han Meigui (韩玫瑰公主, Han Meigui gōngzhǔ): The lead protagonist, Rosalie is a enthusiastic girl who is a passionate fairy princess from the Kingdom of Fengshui. While escaping Demona, Rosalie lands in Beijing, China. She has since moved next door to Marina’s house as a neighbour. With her bonded Fuwa partner (and boyfriend) Huanhuan, Rosalie can transform into Balala Firerose, The Balala Fairy of Fire and the guardian of the Olympics. Her theme colors are pink and red. Rosalie is the leader and the eldest of the fairies and the only one to be in a romantic relationship. At the end of the series, years have passed and Rosalie and Huanhuan since have had gotten married, one year later, Rosalie gives birth to a baby girl whom she names Cynthia.
- Marina: Marina is a gentle girl who is Rosalie’s human best friend from Beijing, China. She is partly Fengshui mermaid through her grandmother, whom she lives with, as her parents work overseas. With her bonded Fuwa partner Beibei, Marina can transform into Balala Seawater, The Balala Fairy of Water and Sea. Her theme color is blue.
- Giselle: Giselle is a lively girl from Beijing, China, who likes to run and is considered the nurse of the group. She used to be confined to a wheelchair in the past but was able to walk after life changing treatments. With her bonded Fuwa partner Yingying, Giselle can transform into Balala Earthheart, The Balala Fairy of Earth. Her theme colors are yellow and orange.
- Chloe: Chloe is an optimistic girl from Beijing, China, who has a soft spot for nature. With her bonded Fuwa partner Jingjing, Chloe can transform into Balala Naturewood, The Balala Fairy of Wood and Nature. Her theme colors are black and white.
- Skye: Skye is a joyful girl from Beijing, China, with a kindhearted personality. With her bonded Fuwa partner Nini, Skye can transform into Balala Skymetal, The Balala Fairy of Metal and Sky. Her theme color is green.
- Amaya Wu (吴彩虹): Amaya is a happy go lucky girl from Beijing, China, who looks up to the other Balala fairies, especially Rosalie. With her bonded partner Fu Niu Lele, Amaya can transform into Balala Rainbowdream, The Balala Fairy of Rainbows. Her theme color is rainbow. Amaya is the youngest of the fairies.
Their Fuwa Partners[]
- Huanhuan (福娃欢欢): Rosalie’s bonded Fuwa partner and her love interest (later husband). He is the red Fuwa whose design is based off the Olympic flame. He is the eldest brother and leader of the Fuwa. He is Rosalie’s boyfriend and years later he becomes the Prince of the Fengshui Kingdom upon marriage to Rosalie at the end of the series. He also becomes the father of Rosalie’s newborn daughter, Cynthia at the end of the series.
- Beibei (福娃贝贝): Marina’s bonded Fuwa partner. She is the blue Fuwa whose design is based off the Chinese sturgeon fish.
- Yingying (福娃迎迎): Giselle’s bonded Fuwa partner. He is the yellow Fuwa whose design is based off the Tibetan antelope.
- Jingjing (福娃晶晶): Chloe’s bonded Fuwa partner. He is the black Fuwa whose design is based off the panda.
- Nini (福娃妮妮): Skye’s bonded Fuwa partner. She is the green Fuwa whose design is based off the swallow bird.
- Fu Niu Lele (福牛乐乐): Amaya’s bonded partner whose design is based off a rainbow cow. She is the younger cousin of the five Fuwa.

- Queen Demona: The queen of the Demon Kingdom. She attacked the Fengshui Kingdom in her plans of taking over and turned the Queen and King of Fengshui into stone and imprisoned it’s residents. She also plans to take over the Olympic Games and capture the Greek Gods.

Residents of the Fengshui Kingdom[]
- The Queen of Fengshui: The kindhearted fairy queen regnant of the Fengshui Kingdom and Rosalie’s mother. She is a wise ruler beloved by her subjects. She takes most of the decisions in the kingdom. She decides everything and she is very serious and dedicated to this very important task. She is good friends since childhood with The Fairy Queen from the original Balala The Fairies series. She is childhood best friends with the prime minister of Fengshui. She is also sometimes known as The Empress of Fengshui.
- The King of Fengshui: The kindhearted fairy king consort of the Fengshui Kingdom and Rosalie’s father. He hasn't been seen much, as all the decisions of the kingdom are taken by his wife, The Queen of Fengshui. He is also sometimes known as The Emperor of Fengshui.
- The Prime Minister of Fengshui: The joyful prime minister of the Fengshui Kingdom and the Queen of Fengshui’s childhood best friend. She is dedicated to her role as prime minister.
- Princess Rosalina of Fengshui: Rosalie’s ancestor who was the princess of the Fengshui Kingdom 300 years ago who became a Olympic flame. She used to transform into Balala Firenoble. She bears a great resemblance to Rosalie. Rosalie was named after Rosalina.
- Pixiu: Pixiu, is the ninth son of the dragon. He looks like a little half-human beast. He is a good friend of the fairies and the Fuwa. He is a well-meaning but mischievous glutton.
- Princess Huofeng: A beautiful giant bird as red as fire. The kinetic energy of the wings flaps out of red petals, and the petals will turn into sparks when they encounter enemies. She can dissolve the freezing technique of Demona and other enemies. Her powers are fire, flight in phoenix form, and she shapeshifts into a beautiful human princess and she can hide in phoenix form in the back of Rosalie’s jacket. She is Rosalie’s older cousin on Rosalie’s father’s side. She is a kind-hearted friend of the fairies and the Fuwa and the others to save the Olympics from Demona and her allies and minions.
- HongHuo: A 10 year old boy with a red colour scheme who has the ability to turn into a dragon.
- LanBing: a 11 year old boy with a blue color scheme who has the ability to turn into a dragon.
- HeiYou: a 7 year old year old boy with a black color scheme who has the ability to turn into a dragon.
- AhHuang: an 8 year old boy with a yellow color scheme who has the ability to turn into a dragon.
- XiaoLu: a 9 year old girl with a green color scheme who has the ability to turn into a dragon.
- Princess Cynthia: The newborn infant daughter of Rosalie and Huanhuan, who was born at the end of the series.

- Hu Ban Mao: an old talking ginger tabby cat raised in the Olympic Museum that Rosalie and her friends had encountered. He is loyal to the museum and the fairies. He likes getting pets from Rosalie and secretly knows she is a fairy princess. He is also afraid of insects.
