Darlene of Corona Hollow: The Curse of the Sleeping Mouse (コロナホロウのダーリーン: 眠りネズミの呪い Koronahorou no Dārīn: Nemuri Nezumi no Noroi?) is an original Japanese-American anime movie produced by Toei Animation and co-produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Amblin Entertainment, and Illumination Entertainment. It draws inspiration from various fairy tale elements.

Plot[]

The story takes place in the enchanting realm of Corona Hollow, where a young princess named Darlene, heir to the throne, lives with her mother, Queen Candice. Darlene's father, King Vladimir, tragically perished during a war when she was a child. As Darlene grows up, she becomes curious about her father's legacy and yearns to bring prosperity and happiness to her kingdom.

In her quest for knowledge, Darlene encounters a wise and mystical mouse named Toby, who possesses special abilities. Toby receives a message from Queen Candice, inviting him to Corona Hollow to meet Darlene and assist in safeguarding the kingdom.

Accompanied by four magical fairies named Juniper, Sylvia, Isabelle, and Sunny, Toby embarks on an adventure to Corona Hollow. Along the way, they face challenges and confront an evil sorceress named Mizrabel, who seeks to disrupt the peace of the kingdom.

Unbeknownst to Toby and the fairies, Mizrabel places a curse on him, foretelling his slumber after pricking his finger on a spindle. The fairies attempt to protect him, but their warnings go unheeded, and Toby falls into a deep sleep during Darlene's 17th birthday and coronation.

Darlene is devastated by the unforeseen curse, but remains determined to break the spell. With the help of her loyal subjects and the fairies, she confronts Mizrabel and her minions, engaging in a battle to save Toby and Corona Hollow.

Through Darlene's bravery, love, and a touch of fate, she manages to awaken Toby from his enchanted slumber. The kingdom rejoices as peace is restored, and Toby bids the princess farewell to continue on his journey to spread wisdom to those who need it, leaving Ariela with newfound wisdom and strength to govern Corona Hollow.
