Love Live! School Idol Stars is a crossover anime series featuring characters from School Idol Project and Sunshine as they meet up and compete against each other in Love Live! to see who's the best.

Plot[]
It's the continuation of both U's and Aqours, where they have a competition in Love Live! to see who wins. Along the way, they meet up with their old rivals from the predecessors (A-RISE and Saint Snow), along with 2 new school idols consisting of Azumanga Daioh characters (Neco and YCFS). A-RISE and Saint Snow would eventually partner together to become the New A-RISE, the new ally to U's and Aqours.
It starts off with Chika writing a letter to Honoka (as seen in the Sunshine!! episode "It's Time to Fly") about Aqours aiming to do be freely instead of just chasing after U's. Which impresses Honoka to root on Aqours. Then years later, at the shrine, both Honoka and Chika meet up and were shock to see each other for the first time. Then the next day, U's and Aqours go to their long trip in Tokyo, where they plan on doing a competition in Love Live! to see who wins. They also see the Saint Snow sisters; Sarah and Leah meeting up with both idols. Sarah thanks Honoka for all the inspiration on school idols who preform at Love Live!, but for Leah, she still has problems on her memories of Saint Snow loosing, and runs off. A-RISE then meet up with Leah crying, where they cheer her up to join their group to form a new school idol group called the New A-RISE, as Sarah join their group too.
While this is happening, the girls from Azumanga Daioh seen U's and Aqours' success in Love Live!, that they decide to meet them up in Tokyo, where they want to become school idols themselves. But need to get their approval from the New A-RISE first. They do a meeting with the school idol group, and were approved as Neco (lead by Sakaki, Kaorin, Chiyo Chan, and Osaka) and YCFS (head by Yomi and Chihiro), but have to become successful in Love Live!, in order to retain as school idol groups in competition.
However in the last episode, both U's and Aqours get a tie, as they are both good in their own rights. But for Neco and YCFS, they lost due to accidents they did on stage, resulting them to quitting on being school idols and going back to their old chores and hobbies. But will still root on future school idol groups that enter Love Live!.
