GARO: Seigi no Hogosha (正義の守護者, translated as GARO: Guardians of Justice in English) is a horror/action semi-tokusatsu anime series. It is the only anime in the Garo franchise to not be connected to the anime universe.
Sypnosis[]
A ragtag street crew discover their true destinies as they use 6 magical suits of armor to become warriors called Makai Knights and save the world from malicious flesh-eating demons called Horrors.
Plot[]
10 years after the disastrous events of Kami no Kiba: Jinga, the Earth has been overran by Horrors, and the Makai Order has all but fallen, thanks to the machinations of the original Jinga. The surviving humans have retreated to a man-made city called Nexo City, attempting to fend of Horrors that attack them in vain. But there is still hope. Sensing the looming threat of the Horrors, the Garo armor selects a new bearer: headstrong and street-smart 12-year old orphan Hiroshi. With the help of his ragtag street crew, 4 of whom become Makai Knights later on, as well as the Garo armor's Madogu Zaruba, and his childhood friend Takeshi, who becomes the new Roze, Hiroshi decides to use his new powers as a Makai Knight to protect innocent people from the Horrors and end Jinga's terrible reign once and for all, while also discovering his true destiny.
