Pokemon: The New Indigo League Quest is a Pokemon TV series that takes place in "Kanto" from the original series. Where Ash returns to Kanto and meets up with his old friends on their journey to become the Pokemon Champion of Kanto once again, by battling new trainers they never fought before. Unlike the modern Pokemon anime shows, this anime uses the original designs of the characters from each season.

Storyline[]

Ash Ketchum returns to Kanto to find new trainers to battle against as well as new Pokemon he never found or caught before. Joining Ash's adventure are Misty,brock, Tracey,May, her little brother Max, Dawn, Iris,Cilan,Serena, Clemont, and his little sister Bonnie all who are aiming to become Pokemon Masters themselves. While on the journey, they once again get pursued by the Team Rocket Trio - Jessie, James and Meowth at times. Ash's rival Gary Paul and trip comes back to stands in his path and belittles him at every opportunity again.

  • The only characters to return in the wild of the city in this anime are Tracey Sketchit, Iris, and Cilan.
  • Brock makes an episode where he's now a Pokémon Breeder.

TV Airings[]

On Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and European Disney XD airings, the show has several changes and edits to make it suitable for children, and features a new opening and closing theme. This version can only be seen on TV and on stream (except for the Sentai Network stream).

But on Sentai Network airings, it's shown uncut with the original japanese opening and closing themes left intact. This version is present on the DVD and Blu Ray releases of the anime.
