Pop'n Music Lapistoria, originally known as Pop'n Music Lapistoria: ANOTHER STORY (aka PNMLAS) is a 2022-2023 Fanmade anime which was posted back on the Archives of Our Own (AO3) website.

The first chapter of the original story was posted back on October 25th. It was put on hiatus for a long time during 2023-2024. A revised version of the original story is planned for 2025, that includes new characters that were not present in the original (including official Pop'n Music characters that didn't make it to Lapistoria canonically, like Kurumi.) and entirely new characters (like Inazuma and Brullezon)

- Retsu (烈?) - Retsu is a teenager who has Pyrokinesis Abilities. Retsu lost his family at a young age due to a house fire, which is heavily implied to have been caused by his immature pyrokinesis ability. After the accident, he was taken in by his grandmother, Akane, where he became afraid of his power due to the incident which took his parents' lives, so she decided to teach him how to utilize and control his ability. After a while, he was fully in control of his powers, but Akane told him that there are some people who have elemental powers like him, who he met and eventually befriended.
- Fuga (風雅?) - Fuga is Retsu's Rival. He has Aerokinesis Powers. Fuga spent his childhood alone and isolated from his peers, watching other children play together from under a faraway tree. Playing with his yo-yo, from where his parents gave him as a present for his birthday, he eventually learned to channel his wind powers through it. After transferring into Retsu's school, he befriended the Tsugidoka! gang and opened up more. He currently works and lives at his family's dry cleaners in Kawaramachi, where he seems to be very skilled at, and proud of, his job.
- Rinka (鈴花?) - Rinka is a sweet, polite young girl who has a positive look. She has Florakinesis Powers. When their parents passed away from an illness, Rinka's big brother, Taiga, decided to take care of her. One day, her florakinesis was awakened. Rinka became excited about her powers, and she told her brother about them, and he was impressed. Later at school, Rinka received a science project from her teacher about nature and plants. She attempted using her ability to work on her assignment, but the next day, while she brought her homework to class, one of her classmates has been bullying her because of her plants, causing her to run away from school. Later, Taiga cheers her up and tells her about how people don't understand her powers, making her feel better. The other day, she was scouted by Mimi, who was surprised by her powers, but she understood Rinka, and wanted the latter to practice her flowery. Taiga gave her their mother's fan that she can use to channel her abilities.
- Hiumi (氷海?) - Hiumi is the school council president. She has Cyrokinesis Powers. Hiumi is born with a married couple who have founded a famous hospital. Since then, she has been studying medicine and nursing. One day, her cyrokinesis powers were awakened; however, her powers have caused a huge disaster. Her parents decided to lock her to prevent any chaos, thus Hiumi became a hikikomori for years. One day, she was visited by MZD along with Mimi and Nyami. Mimi explained to Hiumi about her powers. Hearing this, she decides to channel her inner abilities. Although her parents were against this, they happily saw that she mastered her new abilities.
- Manatsu Hanabiya (花火屋 真夏?) - Manatsu is a new member of the Tsugidoka group. She has Photokinesis Powers. Manatsu lived in a very busy family, with a mother and a father, with 3 sisters. because of that, the eldest sister of the Hanabiya Family was left to take care of them. Her sister fell ill as her Mother was left to treat her, days after her Photokinesis powers awakened. Just when she gets home from school a week later, she finds out that her sister died in the hospital from an incurable disease, which lead Manatsu to be really sad and isolate herself from her family, which included her younger sister, Hikariko. Her sadness disappeared one day and Manatsu decided to go outside to run some errands. She then bumps into Retsu, and Retsu wants to befriend her because of how lonely she was, even when she lost her older sister to a chronic disease that would have been treated if she was in the hospital.
- Kuroe (クロエ?) - Kuroe is a dark spirit who takes the form of a humanoid teenager, and a former worker for Opal. When she was working for Opal, she felt happiness when she caused trouble and corrupted many lapises of those who felt strong negative emotions. She can use her lapis to possess one's body and turn them into another form.

- Mimi (ミミ?) is a rabbit-like humanoid. She is identical to Nyami's appearance, except she's a talkative, imaginative rabbit, Mimi used to be a child star when she was a little bunny, starring in a significant amount of TV shows and Movies, though this former career took a bit of toll for her mentality, making her a bit naive and foolish, she still has some bright moments and her life is still good though. Mimi met Nyami in kindergarten when she was getting bullied for her ears, she befriended the cat when Nyami stood up for her, and a few years later, Mimi would wind up getting into a bungee malfunction during filming of her then-recent episode, that could have been the end for her if it weren't for Magnetokinesis unknowingly awakening for the first time, in the present, Mimi gets a pink lapis to channel her magnetokinesis, and gain the advantage of a lower risk of motion sickness.
- Nyami (ニャミ?) is a cat-like humanoid. She is almost always seen with Mimi, her partner and best friend. She is identical to Mimi in appearance, but is a cat, Nyami met Mimi when the two are young in Kindergarten when the latter is being bullied for her long ears, the cat stood up for the poor rabbit, anc the two's nearly-unbreakable friendship begins, She is a feisty, playful tomboy. She is Timer's boyfriend, one day as a kid, Nyami was tinkering with her cousin, Sapphire's guitar while it was damaged, ended up electrocuting her, but Nyami ended up surviving despite the electricity containing in the guitar, Sapphire was obviously shocked, in the present, Nyami gets a yellow lapis to recieve a buff that halves the damage she takes from electricity.
- Kurumi Emiko (くるみ恵美子) - a short squirrel who has a rich family (her parents owning BOTH a residential building and a perfume company), she may be a little bratty (especially being overprotective with her hair) and be quite a bit of a bragger, but ultimately she's benevolent and easy-going, her fellow wealthy best friend gives her an elixir of youth and the two do "cheers!" and drink said elixir, she'll later acquire Vitakinesis with a green lapis that allowed slow but limitless health regeneration, both wound-healing and immunity system boosting, Kurumi met Mimi and Nyami in elementary when the three were assigned to take role for a school play.
- Itsumi Nanobana (菜の花いつみ) - a dog who is Pochiko's little sister, unlike Pochiko though she has human behaviour and acts more like a cloudcuckoolander who is a bigger fool than Mimi, but when it gets serious, she doesn't keep her usual silly demeanor, sweets may make her physical capabilities skyrocket (NekoMichiEN if you like to add more information on Inazuma, go ahead)
- Takumi Akanishi (赤西拓実)- Takumi is a cold, pessimistic, potentially aggressive fox, Takumi is not a bully, but rather genuinely suffering emotional degregation during her childhood, with her encounter with Hasami shortly before the events of the family that almost costed Takumi her life, being the straw that broke the camel's back, Takumi has numerous scars around her body, most notably her left cheek and her arms, which the latter covered mostly by her parka, be careful when she's around, because making her angry will make the situation go bad.

- Akane (茜?) - Akane is Retsu's grandmother, who took him in after Retsu's parents died to a fatal house fire accident. Despite looking like a little girl, Akane has all the wisdom that comes with age. Whether it's giving advice or simple understanding, she knows just what someone needs in order to support them. She has the power to control fire much like Retsu, so she tried helping him train to improve his abilities. She's a bit of a drunkard, and is almost always seen carrying her large sake gourd.
- Taiga (大牙?) - Taiga is Rinka's big, protective brother, who controls the power of earth. Since he appears large and intimidating, he's very friendly and likes everything cute, but doesn't want to forgive himself.
- Roku (六?) - Roku is mostly silent and stoic. He is described as a skilled Hip Rock Samurai with his own jeopardy in Japan. He seems to be stealthy and writes down what he sees, hears, or the places he's been in kanji. Roku always keeps his headphones on his neck, he's friends with Yuli.
- Poudretteite (プードルテイト?) - Poudretteite was a human who was the younger sister of Taaffeite, a lover of punk rock music. Poudretteite was the opposite of Taaffeite, and is more shy and easily frightened and bashful. She was killed by Malachite as she strangled her to death with her own bare hands, as when Pourdretteite died, she put her Lapis in her mouth and ran off. She has the ability of Aether Manipulaiton, while her lapis was never retrieved, her Aether Manipulation powers would not go to waste however, as said powers were later reincarnated with her older cousin, Brullezon, restarting it's progress in the process due to lacking a lapis.
- Taaffeite (タアフェイト?) - Taaffeite was the elder sister of Poudretteite, and the elder cousin of Tanzanite. Taaffeite loves to listen to punk rock music. She was a tomboyish student at Lapistoria Academy, who appears to be pretty protective for her sister, and felt unsure to put her as a permanent trainer for Malachite after seeing Malachite's obsessive personality towards her, which made her a bit too uncomfortable. Taaffeite had the ability of manipulating phantasm, as she uses her powers when protecting Poudretteite from any sudden danger.
- Tanzanite (タンザナイト?) - Tanzanite is the younger cousin of both her late cousins Poudretteite and Taaffeite. Tanzanite wished to become just like Poudretteite and Taaffeite just before they both passed away one day, as Tanzanite wishes to avenge the death of both of them thanks to Malachite. During the events of Re:LAPiS, Tanzanite became a Paranormal investigator for the sake of her cousins, as she mostly communicates with them through using a special lighter that Taaffeite used to have to protect herself from, she can interact with only one at a time, unless Brullezon (with Poudretteite's former powers reincarnated on him) with is within 25 meters distance near her, said limitation is temporarily disabled with him until he gets further than the 25 meter radius, allowing communication with both at once.
- Brullezon - Brullezon is yet another cousin of Taaffeite, a male one this time, he's older than Tanzanite and Poudretteite, but significantly younger than Taaffeite, he was in a coma for 2 years after he got hit by a tree during a storm, he finally wakes up once Poudretteite's powers gets reincarnated into him after the latter's death, it's not as great as with it's previous user, especially without a lapis, but it works just enough to let him recover completely, after he heard the news of Poudretteite's death, he becomes determined to protect Tanzanite at all cost, in Re:LAPiS, Brullezon mastered his powers he got from his cousin and is a low-tier god (just slightly lower than MZD).
- Kanako Emiko - Kanako is a squirrel who is actually Kurumi's same-aged cousin, she's energetic and a bit of a tomboy, she's a flying squirrel unlike her cousin.
- Poetry Love - Poet is a young blonde angel who's usually a pacifist, but if she gets too angry, she'll (involuntarily) turn into her dark form, making the already ridiculously powerful angel even stronger, but at the cost of her morality, the sooner she turns back to normal, the less morality impact she suffers, the more and more the dark form is used (including delaying the transition to normal), the greater risk she has into becoming a fallen angel.
- Rhonda Von Garcia - Rolly is a cowgirl who grew up while living with her grandpa, now that Rhonda is a high-schooler (around the same as the protagonists) while keeping her cowboy aesthetic and charm.
- Satomi Kiryu - Sapphire is Nyami's older cousin, Sapphire is a freshman in college and is a part-time guitarist under the fan nickname "Lady Metal", Sapphire is quite harsh to her cousin but deep inside, she's a decent person with an overshadowed ego.

- Zero (ゼロ) - Zero is the Bobcat reincarnation of Orez, unlike Malachite, who retained her previous life's cruel and manipulative demeanor, Zero is actually benevolent, shy and respectful compared to Orez, this is because he was reincarnated by MZD at the request of Mimi and Inazuma to reincarnate Orez as a good individual.
Antagonists[]
- Opal (オパール?) - Actual name Opalina Schorl (ショール・オパリナ?), is the main antagonist of the series. She used to live with her older sister Rubyria, who used to be a princess of the Lapistoria Palace before its shattering. Opal used to be a kindhearted girl who is very optimistic, which was a trait passed down from her Deceased mom who has died during the shattering. When Opal hears the news of her mother's death, Opal runs away to a mysterious place full of darkness, where mysterious corrupted lapis spirits have come to greet her as their newest "leader". Opal accepts the greeting as she starts her evil era.
- Lapis Lazulial (ラズリアル・ラピス?) - Lapis is a butterfly from the Märchen Kingdom, who is pretty noticeable for her blue butterfly scales and usual hibernation. She and her sister Quartz debuted in Sadistic Butterfly, one episode of the two-part episode arc of Butterfly. Kuroe decided to corrupt her lapis and brainwash her to become one of Opal's servants for only little to said time.
- Jade (ジェイド?) - Jade is the board chairman of the school in Lapistoria. During the events of the anime, he is planning behind the scenes to become the god of a new world of his making, and it is revealed that Jadeite was doing his bidding. He has the ability to mind-control certain lapis wielders. Jade is precocious and scheming, and has a signature cruel giggle.
- Malachite (マラカイト?) - Malachite is the reincarnation of Jade, who debuted in The New Me. Jade was reincarnated into Malachite after the events of the God episode, as Opal used his own lapis to revive him into a "new person" for his liking". Malachite is a precocious girl who appears to be a somewhat obsessive with Poudretteite, and killed her when she rejected her request to become her girlfriend and snitched the murder on her sister, Taaffeite, which lead to her being executed by hanging. Malachite also became the new chairwoman of Lapistoria Academy, and a half-goddess who planed to become a god of Lapistoria itself, but failed after Kuroe and Manatsu caught her trying to corrupt MZD. Malachite was killed by Tanzanite after she rung a bell and the bell landed on Malachite, just like how the bell landed on Jade when he was still alive.
- Jadeite (ジェダイト?) - Jadeite is Opal's fake husband, and the mysterious principal of the academy in Lapistoria. He collects the lapises of the students to conduct research on them in secret, and played a large part in the past experiments conducted in order to create black lapises. Through his research, he hopes to learn how to purify lapises, which is not a power he has naturally. He also seeks to strengthen his own lapis with the powers of the Tsugidoka, Jadeite quite redeems himself at some point.
- Orez (オレス) - Orez is a half-cyborg half-cat, causes chaos and terrorizes for the hell of it, in his final moments, Humui throws a large ice ball at him that turned him into an icicle, with Inazuma finishing off while she's still in Sugar Frenzy.

Club Occult (オカルト部?)
- Haku Iizono (飯園 伯?): The leader, and a delinquent. She was one of the fewest students to pick on Rinka for her florakinetic abilities. Haku possesses the ability of manipulating poison, and she really dislikes pollen, in which her power comes to light easily to kill them.
- Biwa Neo (音緒 枇杷?): Biwa is a musician with the ability of manipulating sound. She was originally bullied for her talent, which turned her into a cold-hearted outcast with an obsession for perfection; she shows no such mercy towards those who critique her music skills harshly.
- Tsuneko Kotakemori (小竹森 経子?): Tsuneko is the younger sister of Yoneko Kotakemori. Tsuneko believes herself to be a cat, which caused her to be called "weird" for her sudden claims back when she was still in middle school.
- Sae Izumi (泉美 咲恵?): Although Sae looks feminine, she sounds pretty boyish due to puberty. Sae has the ability of manipulating blood, yet gave it up for a more dangerous ability she could harbor.
Miscellaneous Information[]
- Brullezon is often considered "The Sabo Of Pop'n Music" due to similar origins of their powers (Brullezon's powers used to be Poudretteite's before the latter's passing, while Sabo had the Mera Mera No Mi, used to be Ace's devil fruit before his death in the Marineford war.)
