Senor Mouse is a 2010 Japanese animated adventure-comedy film which is released as A spin-off and prequel to the Disney Story franchise, the film follows the character Senor Mouse on his adventures prior to his first appearance in Disney Story 2 (2003). Accompanied by his friends, Alexandre Pedro and Senora Minnie, Mouse is pitted against Jack and Jill, two murderous outlaws in ownership of legendary magical beans that lead to a great fortune.

Plot[]

Senor Mouse takes place in Spain, home to a hero of the same name. A fugitive on the run from the law, Mouse is seeking to restore his lost honour. He learns that the outlaw couple Jack and Jill have the magic beans he has been looking for most of his life, which can lead him to a giant's castle. The castle holds valuable golden goose eggs. When Mouse tries to steal them from the outlaws' room, a ruthless hitwoman that was hired to kill him interrupts, and both fail. The hitwoman turns out to be a female mouse named Senora Minnie and is allied with Alexandre Pedro, The Thief King and Mouse's long-estranged childhood friend from the orphanage where he was raised. Mouse tells Minnie his origin story and of his feelings of betrayal for a youthful misadventure when Pedro tricked Mouse into helping commit a bank robbery in his hometown of Burgos; Mouse has been on the run ever since. Pedro eventually convinces Mouse to join them in finding the beans and retrieving the golden eggs.

The trio steals the beans from Jack and Jill and plant them in the desert. Mouse and Minnie's relationship becomes romantic. The trio rides the beanstalk into the clouds to find the castle of the late giant, while avoiding the Great Terror, a giant goose that guards the Golden Eggs. When they realize the golden eggs are too heavy to carry, they steal the Goose, which is just a gosling, and escape the castle. While celebrating their victory, the group is ambushed by Jack and Jill, who knocks Mouse unconscious.

When Mouse wakes up, he tracks Jack and Jill to Burgos where he learns the entire heist was a plot by Pedro, who turns out to be the dangerous boss of Jack and Jill, to lure him home to be arrested, as revenge for abandoning him to the authorities when Pedro's youthful heist went bad. Jack, Jill, and Minnie, who are working for Pedro, were involved in the con. After pleas from Imelda, his adoptive mother, Mouse turns himself in to the guards while Pedro donates many golden eggs to the town and becomes a hero.

While in prison, Mouse meets the original Jack from "Jack and the Beanstalk" from whom Pedro had stolen the beans from in the first place; he warns Mouse that the Great Terror is in fact the Goose's mother, and she will stop at nothing to get her child back. Realizing Pedro intended to destroy the town all along, Mouse requests that Minnie help him break out of prison and she also tells him she loves him. Tracking him down just as the Great Terror arrives, Mouse convinces Pedro to help him fight off the Great Terror, saying he knows Pedro is a good person at heart. Using the Goose as bait, Mouse and Pedro lure the Great Terror out of the town. During the chase, Jack and Jill betray Pedro and try to take the Goose, but get crushed by the Great Terror. Pedro and the Goose are knocked off a bridge with Mouse holding onto them. Pedro knows Mouse cannot hold both of them, so he lets go, sacrificing himself to save the Goose and the town. Pedro turns into a golden egg as he dies. The Great Terror then takes the Goose and Pedro back to the giant's castle.

Though still considered a criminal by the law, Mouse's efforts to save Burgos make him a hero once again among the townspeople and Imelda. Mouse sets off to a new adventure as the police arrives and he says farewell to Minnie, who steals his boots. In the epilogue, Jack and Jill are recovering from their injuries, Pedro is seen in the castle in the sky, along with the Goose and the Great Terror, and Mouse and Minnie dance together, where they finally share a kiss.
